William & Mary (3-3) at Maine (1-4)
3 p.m., Saturday, Morse Field at Alfond Stadium, Orono
You can’t blame the Black Bears if they’re downright giddy about facing the Pride. Three of the teams Maine met in the first five weeks (Massachusetts, Connecticut, Hofstra) are still unbeaten. William & Mary, meanwhile, has lost three straight games to Maine, including a 20-17 verdict in Williamsburg, Va., on Sept. 15, 2006. Maine hopes to snap a five-game conference losing streak in its Homecoming contest. The Black Bears have won seven of their last nine home games. Mt. Blue HIgh School and Bridgton Academy product Jordan Stevens of Temple ranks fifth on the team with 27 tackles. Jamaal Fluellen (421 rushing yards, 3 TDs) leads the Maine offense. Prediction: Maine, 21-17.
