Class luncheon

RUMFORD – Stephens High School Class of 1954 will hold a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Route 2 Diner. All classmates and guests are welcome.

Trail Blazers

MEXICO – The Mexico Trail Blazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall. Anyone joining before Dec. 5 will be eligible to win $200. For more information, contact Nick Brown at 364-8665.

Turkey roast

RUMFORD – A turkey roast, sponsored by the Royal Arch Chapter 56, will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Blazing Star Lodge, Route 232. The menu will include turkey, mashed potatoes, peas, carrots, stuffing, cranberry sauce and desserts. The charge will be $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12. Takeouts will be available. Acadian Society

RUMFORD – The Acadian Society will meet Thursday, Oct. 18, downstairs at St. Barnabas Episcopal Church, 71 Rumford Ave. The meeting is the annual celebration of the potato. As usual the evening will begin at 6 p.m. with a potluck supper.

Members should note the change in location. St. Barnabas Church is across the traffic circle from the Rumford Library. Use the Rumford Avenue entrance.
