SANFORD (AP) – An earthquake registering magnitude 2 rumbled through some areas of Southern Maine, but no injuries or damage are reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake happened at around 8 p.m. Tuesday. It was located 13 miles northwest of Sanford.
A quake of magnitude 2.5 to 3 is the smallest generally felt by people.
The Bar Harbor area was shaken by a small quake and aftershocks about a year ago.
