AUBURN – Two holes-in-one have been registered recently at Martindale Country Club.

Kristin Kannegieser, Women’s Maine Amateur Champion, notched her second ace in 8 days. She aced the #17 hole, 140-yards, using a 4-iron. The feat was witnessed by Will and Isabel Kannegieser. Her first hole-in-one was recorded at Poland Spring Golf Club.

The other ace was shot by Veteran Coach and Sportsman Chick Leahey, 82, on the #17 hole, 152-yards, using a driver.

Playing partners were Bob Flynn, Howie Vandersea and Web Harrison, all of whom have been involved in sports at Bates College.
