TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The wedding of Ann Rowe and Daniel Thomas McMullen was held at 4 p.m., July 7, at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tallahassee, Fla. The Rev. Michael E. Ellis officiated at the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Richard A. Rowe of Bean’s Corner and Patricia A. Rowe of Wilton. The bridegroom is the son of Sarah McMullen of McAlpin, Fla., and the late Rufus McMullen.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown of tissue organza with V-neckline, empire waistline embellished with beading and lace in the front and buttons running from the back of the bodice to the hemline of the chapel-length train. She carried a bouquet of white roses, blue bachelor’s buttons, white hydrangea and Queen Anne lace.
Danalynn Caron of Lewiston and Janice Wright of Sarasota, Fla., best friends of the bride, were matrons of honor. Bridesmaids were Alia Faraj-Johnson of Tallahassee, Fla., and Nivea Malave of Tallahassee, Fla., friends, Dana McMullen of Live Oak, Fla., stepdaughter, and Jayne Rowe-Lincoln of Tallahassee, Fla., sister. Jessie Carter and Diane Carter, nieces of the bridegroom, were flower girls.
Best man was Paul Mehalko of Lake City, Fla., best friend. Ushers were Allen Davis of Live Oak, Fla., brother-in-law, Raleigh Dowling of Jacksonville, Fla., friend, Brian McMullen of Live Oak, Fla., son, David McMullen of Live Oak, Fla., brother, and Alex Prins of Live Oak, Fla., friend. Mason Rowe, grandnephew, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at the Alfriend Parish Hall at St. John’s Episcopal Church, after which the couple traveled to New England and Montreal, Quebec. They currently reside in North Florida.
The bride is a 1982 graduate of Jay High School and served as Maine’s 1990 delegate to Miss America. She is returning to school to pursue a degree in public relations and is employed as account executive with Herrle Communications Group in Tallahassee. She is also an independent public relations consultant, specializing in emergency management public information.
The bridegroom is a 1980 graduate of Suwannee High School in Live Oak, Fla., and is director of operations with the Episcopal Diocese of Florida-Camp Weed and Cerveny Conference Center in Live Oak.
