RUMFORD – Rumford Hospital honored employees who have worked at the hospital and its physician practices for five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 years on Sept. 20 with a dinner and awards ceremony at Black Mountain. Emcee John Welsh, the hospital’s CEO, noted that the honorees represented 595 years of service.

Margaret (Peg) Blouin, RN, of Rumford was honored for 40 years of service. She has worked in several hospital departments and is now a nursing supervisor.

Awards for 35 years of service went to Theresa Hamner of Peru, medical records; Diane Roy of Rumford, phlebotomy; and Rebecca Scott of Peru, medical/surgical. Celebrating 30 years of service were Jeannette Chartier of Rumford, data processing; Susan Rioux of Rumford, respiratory therapy; and Mary Stearns, RN, of Rumford, intensive care unit.

Andrea Flaherty of Rumford, radiology, Jennifer Libby of Mexico, respiratory therapy, and Fran Smith, RN, of Mexico, surgical services, were honored for 25 years. At 20 years Louise Arsenault of Mexico, rehabilitation, Melissa Calderaro of Rumford, pharmacy, and Alfred Roy of Roxbury, maintenance, accepted congratulations.

Rebecca Fontaine, RN, of Mexico, Elsemore Dixfield Center, was honored for her 15 years of service.

Honored for 10 years were Robin Andrews of Livermore Falls, food service; Priscilla Bickford of Peru, human resources; Judy Conrad of Andover, radiology; Sandra Decourcy of Mexico, central supply; Fran Ducas of Mexico, Swift River Health Care; Patricia Hotham, RN, of Dixfield, medical/surgical; Linda Jamison of Carthage, Swift River; Heather Kellogg, RN, of Bryant Pond, surgical; Sandra Kenealy, RN, of Turner, patient care services; Wendy Low, RN, of Dixfield, maternity; Annette Ross of Rumford, environmental services; and Kathy Sutton, RN, maternity.
