AUBURN – The Great Falls Balloon Festival’s winning photos have been announced. Linda Roman, contest chairwoman, has announced the following winners:

Best of show: Sharon Albiston, Auburn.

Age 18 and under category: first, Miranda McDonald, Sabattus; second, Yusef Nouri, Auburn; third, Bruce W.M. Soper, Lewiston; honorable mention, Yusef Nouri.

Adult category: first, Rocky Freeman, Berwick; second, Randy Williams, Auburn; third, Stella Doyon, Lewiston; honorable mention, Tracy Grondin, Lewiston, and Suzanne Trussell, Stetson.

A total of 104 photos were submitted from Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Florida.

Winners will be awarded prizes and ribbons at a reception being held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28, at the Women’s Center at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, Sabattus Street entrance.

The public is invited to view all photos entered in the 2007 Great Falls Balloon Photo Contest when they will be on display at that time.

The winning photos will be on display during November at St. Mary’s Women’s Center Beaker Gallery, Sabattus Street.
