Criminal Mischief
A bus parked at Hudson Bus Lines had a window smashed out over the weekend between Oct. 19-22.
A residence at 5 Mark St. had mud or feces thrown on the front door overnight of Oct. 19-20.
Officers responded to Main Street on Oct. 20 at 11:30 p.m. for a report that two subjects wearing black hoodies were tagging signs and light control boxes with graffiti. Upon arrival, the suspects were gone; however several pieces of property had graffiti on them.
The rear of CMMC at 300 Main St. was tagged with graffiti between 12:01 a.m. and 2:20 a.m. on Oct. 21.
The rear of the Dairy Joy at 109 Campus Ave. was tagged with graffiti overnight Oct. 21-22.
Thefts
Three juveniles were charged with motor vehicle burglary on Oct. 20 at 12:50 a.m. in the area of East Avenue and Pleasant Street. Officers responded to a report of three subjects who appeared to be breaking into cars. The suspects were located and several radio face plates and various other property was found hidden beneath their clothing.
A vehicle parked at 30 Webster St. was burglarized and had 70 cents in change stolen from inside on Oct. 20 at 10:23 p.m. The suspect was a white male, 6-feet-tall, wearing a blue jean jacket, wool cap, and had a mustache. He also abandoned a bike on the property.
A purse was stolen from a vehicle parked at 274 Pine St. overnight on Oct. 20-21.
The road sign for McNamara Street was stolen overnight on Oct. 20-21.
The front license plate was stolen from a vehicle parked at 43 Nichols St. overnight on Oct. 20-21.
Burglary
An apartment at Pleasant View Acres was burglarized between noon and 5:15 p.m. on Oct. 21. Entry was gained by damaging the rear door lock, jewelry, a DVD player, and a digital camera were stolen.
Criminal Trespass Arrest
Kyle Landry, 24, wascharged with criminal trespass on Oct. 21 at 6:45 p.m. at 425 College St. Officers responded for a reported burglary in progress. The resident was awakened by someone violently shaking the rear door in an attempt to gain entry. She immediately called 911 and also retrieved her handgun in order to defend herself. Police arrived and secured the highly intoxicated Landry; who claimed that he thought he was at his own residence. He was also suffering from preexisting injuries.
Assault
A female who was walking home on Knox Street on Oct. 21 at 10:15 p.m. claims to have been jumped and assaulted by a male of unknown description. She was struck in the face and can’t remember if she had a $20 bill in her pocket or whether or not it was stolen during the incident.
Suspicious Condition
A resident of 532 Pleasant St. noticed palm prints on the outside of a rear window on Oct. 19. It appears as though someone was unsuccessful in an attempt to gain entry through a locked window.
Operating After Suspension Arrest
Emmanuel Ashon-Cudjw, 34, was charged with operating after suspension Oct. 20 at 1:22 a.m. at 315 Main St. following a routine traffic stop.
