Each year, the seventh grade class at Philip W. Sugg Middle School in Lisbon goes on a week long trip to a place called Camp Kieve. Students learn about responsibility, respect and trust. Every day, the students have scheduled classes on a variety of topics such as working together, bullying and solving your problems. The trip is planned for March this year.

One of the most memorable classes is an outdoors high-ropes class where students learn to trust each other. There is also free time with many different activities from which to choose at the Camp.

Going to Camp Kieve isn’t easy though. It requires a lot of group effort and fundraising. Right now, the seventh graders are selling Reese’s candy bars. There will also be a spaghetti supper. Watch for future articles in the Advocate for dates and times of these events! Come and join us for the dinner and help send a kid to camp. FMI call the office at PWS 353-3055.
