Towson (3-5) at Maine (2-6)
Noon, Saturday, Alfond Stadium, Orono
The Black Bears snapped their six-game losing streak at the expense of Northeastern last Saturday, riding the shoulders of RB Jhamal Fluellen. The Syracuse transfer needs only 145 yards to reach 1,000 for the season and has topped the century mark in three straight starts. He’s also the team’s second-leading receiver. Freshman quarterback Adam Farkes has thrown a touchdown pass in five straight games. Jordan Stevens (47 tackles) and Jonathan Pirruccello (33) continue to give Maine’s defense a strong local flavor. Maine topped Towson on the road last season, 28-7, when the Tigers were nationally ranked. Towson has lost four of its last five against the Black Bears. Prediction: Maine, 24-21.
