GREENE – The Women’s Club of Greene is again sponsoring its annual Christmas program, “Share So Others Will Know You Care.”

The program benefits friends and neighbors who need a helping hand during the holiday season, and it has been on-going for the past 40-plus years.

Each year the club solicits local and nearby community businesses, churches, individuals, community service and civic groups to provide a “Merry Christmas” for those who would not otherwise be able to enjoy the holiday.

Sponsors are needed to adopt a child, a family or a senior in need. New clothing and toys, food and gift certificates and monetary donations are needed in order to make the program successful again this year.

For more information, contact Brenda Theriault at 946-5750. Sponsors may request a specific age or sex of the recipient. Sizes needed and toy requests are available. Leave a message, and someone will return the call.

Due to circumstances, the club will not be able to occupy its usual space for the 50/50 raffle at the Leavitt Craft Fair on Monday, Nov. 12. However, raffle tickets may be purchased from club members and at Lindy’s Auto at 518 Route 202.

The deadline for donations is Dec. 14.
