PARIS – As part of its “Up, Up and Away” Friday field trips series, the Oxford Hills Christian Academy Middle School recently visited the Longfellow House in Portland.
The group toured the historic boyhood home of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow on the 200th anniversary of his birth.
Students also participated in a program titled, “Poetry and Place,” in which they were encouraged to write original poetry about places in their own lives that have been important to them.
The middle school campus is located at 1 Park St., South Paris. For more information, call the main office at 743-5970.
