OXFORD – Facing the holidays after the death of a loved one is often a challenge, sometimes even years after the loss. Getting support, learning what reactions and feelings are normal and finding ways to cope with the reality of loss and grief is all the more important during the holidays.

The Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice Pathways through Grief provides support and help in a free program for adults called “Coping with the Holidays.”

Those grieving the loss of a loved one are invited to attend one or both evenings of the free, two-session series that will provide information about common grief reactions as well as suggestions to help adjust and respond to the difficult situation. Discussion and sharing is encouraged.

The program will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13 and Dec. 11 at the Bridgton Community Center and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 14 and Dec. 12 at the AHCH office in Oxford.

Call Joan Spitzform at 777-7740 or 1-800-482-7412, ext. 1460, to register or for more information.
