Potluck supper
WATERFORD – The Wilkins Community House will hold a community potluck supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15. All are welcome. People are invited to take a friend and a dish to share.
The Community House is located on Plummer Hill Road behind the village green next door to the church.
Bridge play
NORWAY – Oxford Hills Duplicate Bridge Club met Nov. 2 at the Fare Share Common, Main Street, where a 4-and-1/2-table Howell movement was played

Scout night
WEST PARIS – Girl Scouts of Maine will hold a parents’ information and registration meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, at the Agnes L. Gray Elementary School.
Girl Scouts of Maine serves more than 14,000 girls ages 5 to 17 statewide. Parents will learn about the Girl Scouting opportunities that are available in the community. Girl Scouts also has many volunteer options for adults.
The registration fee to become a member of Girl Scouts is $10, payable by check, and financial assistance is available.

Grange program
WATERFORD – Waterford Grange 479 will note its 100th anniversary from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at the grange hall.
A donation of $5 will cover lunch and beano and coffee and birthday cake in the afternoon. There will also be a bake and rummage sale and 50/50,

Chinese auction
NORWAY – A Chinese auction will be held Sunday, Nov. 11, at Guy E. Rowe School in memory of David O’Neil to help cover funeral expenses incurred by his family as a result of his unexpected death.
Doors will open at 3 p.m. and the auction will begin at 4 p.m. There will be a 50/50, and food and beverages will be available. For more information or to make donations, call 674-2512.
Veterans service
PARIS – First Congregational Church, 17 East Main St., Paris, will honor area veterans during the worship service Sunday, Nov. 11.
“We will sing the American hymns, salute the flag and the vets,” said Pastor Don Mayberry. His sermon is titled “Veterans Day Blessings.” Services are at 10 a.m. and are broadcast live on AM 1450 in the Oxford Hills and AM 780 in the Rumford-Bethel area. First Congregational is handicapped accessible and everyone is welcome.
Sunday service
PARIS – Trinity Lutheran Church, 34 Buckfield Road, South Paris, invites all to worship on Sunday, Nov. 11. Sunday school will start at 9 a.m., with worship at 10:15, followed by coffee, refreshments and fellowship. The annual Advent Fair will be held from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1.
