Dear Sun Spots: This is in reply to the 79-year-old fellow looking for his birthplace and more (Saturday’s Sun Spots column): I have researched locally and found some very helpful information such as the place where birthed and the person who brought him into the world in 1928. Unfortunately, your writer did not provide any contact information for me or other readers to respond to. Hopefully, if he reads this he will please call me at 782-0980. Thanks so much. I sure hope we can connect. He will be thrilled! – Doug Rogers, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: The Auburn Middle School Drama Club is preparing its next production, “65 Mustang,” a comedy centered around one unique car and all its crazy owners over five decades. We would love to be able to take some pictures of our actors with a real 1965(ish) Mustang, convertible even, as part of our publicity.

If you or anyone you know owns one of these wonderful cars and would be willing to drive over, show it off, and let us take a few pictures we would be very grateful! Please contact Liz Rollins at AMS 784-1356 or 653-5325. Thanks so much! – Liz Rollins, Auburn.

Dear Sun Spots: I recently went to the SPCA to check what they had available for pets. One thing I saw were signs stating they were very low on their supplies of cat litter. I will certainly pick some up at the store and donate it. I hope this letter will also motivate others to consider picking up a bag or two and donating it to the shelter. If we all do a small part, it will make a big difference. Thank you. – Carmen Fillmore, Lewiston.
