NORWAY – The wedding of Allyson Snow Chase and Jeremy Scott Hill was held Aug. 25 at their home in Norway. The handfasting ceremony was officiated by Charleen Chase. The couple joined hands in an infinity circle and with each vow, a cord was draped over the couple’s hands. The cords were then tied by bridesmaids, groomsmen and parents, symbolizing the binding of their union.

Mrs. Hill is the daughter of Anita and Stephen Hakala and Jeffrey Chase of Norway. Mr. Hill is the son of Brian and Faye Hill of South Paris.

The bride was given in marriage by Jeffrey Chase and Stephen Hakala. Bridesmaids were Jesse Chase, sister of the bride, LaShawnda Hill and Brianna Vollmar.

The groomsmen were Brandon Hill, brother of the bridegroom, Seth Hakala and Dennis Vollmar. The couple’s dog, Emmet, was the ring bearer.

A dinner in Freeport followed the ceremony, with a plan for a formal reception in the summer of 2008.

The bride is a graduate of Oxford Hills High School in South Paris and Central Maine Community College with a degree in accounting. She is the office manager at Oxford County Emergency Management Agency in South Paris.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Oxford Hills High School in South Paris and the University of Southern Maine in Portland with a degree in mathematics. He is a teacher at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School in South Paris.
