How’s the Canadian socialist health care system, which Sen. Hillary Clinton attempted to copy in 1993-94? The liberal media won’t tell you. An article in the Sept. 17 issue of Forbes magazine did.

Some doctors opened private clinics. A Montreal physician, Jacques Chaouili, was so angered when a government bureaucrat shut him down, that he went on a hunger strike.

Later, he sued and won. In 2005, Canada’s Supreme Court called the single-payer system dangerous and deadly. The court itself stated: “Access to a wait list is not access to care.”

You won’t see this in the liberal media of course.

A Canadian-born physician, David Gratzer, recently wrote about how capitalism can save American health care.

Do we want to be like Stalin’s Russia or Mao’s China? Are we soon to be recognized as Hillary’s U.S.? Scary!

What about the S-Chip program, originally free care for children of poor families with family income of 200 percent of the poverty level? What the liberals voted for and the president vetoed, was for health care for children of families with 400 percent of the poverty level. That’s $82,000.

Up to 89 percent of those families already have private insurance. We’re such a rich country, let’s provide it for free, say liberals.

Finally, what is the maximum age to qualify? The rules in 14 states allow children as old as 25 to enroll.

Why do hard-working union members always vote for Democrats? What does free mean? Higher taxes.
