LISBON – Central Mainers have a second opportunity to discuss a Christian book at St. Matthew’s Church Intersection Book Club from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursdays at the church off Route 196. November’s selection, “What Jesus Demands from the World” by John Piper, is extended through December.

Open to those who attend every week or just one, the Intersection Book Club is free. “Piper’s book helps us meet Jesus where it counts, in the difficult moments of life,” said the Rev. Beau Wagner, pastor. Information on ordering books is available at the parish office at 353-8453. The January selection will be “Jesus Mean and Wild: The Unexpected Love of an Untamable God” by Mark Galli.
