CASTLETON, Vt. (AP) – Castleton State College is planning to add football to its list of varsity sports next year.

With the addition of football, the college will offer 20 varsity sports.

Castleton will play NCAA Division III football in the North Atlantic Conference and be the seventh conference member to have football.

Norwich University of Northfield will be in the same conference.

Castleton President David Wolk says he expects a rivalry with Norwich to grow and flourish.
