Lodge meeting

CANTON – Whitney Lodge 167, AF and AM, will hold a stated meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. The annual inspection will be preceded by a casserole supper at 6:30. All Master Masons are welcome.

Seniors party

BETHEL – The Bethel Senior Citizens Club Christmas party will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Bethel Inn. The cost of dinner is $9 for members and $11 for non-members. Women are to ring a gift for a woman and men for a man. Entertainment will be provided by Four on a Match.

‘Lights On’

DIXFIELD – SAD 21 will hold a “Lights On” a celebration of after-school activities in all the schools from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Dirigo Middle School.

The celebration will feature a talk by Bob Stuart, an education consultant and director of Maine College Circle, and will also contain a showcase of activities supported by grants.

ROXBURY – The Slippery Sliders Snowmobile Club will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at the home of Raymond and Sylvia Touchette.

RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at St. Athanasius and St. John’s Church Hall.

Hoop shoot

RUMFORD – Rumford Elks Lodge 862 will host the annual Free Throw Hoop Shoot for area girls and boys ages 8 and 9, 10 and 11 and 12 and 13.
