Last year’s record: Girls sixth, boys 10th at Class B state meet
Returning letter winners: Boys: Seniors – Nate Woods, Josh Daigle, Joel Sweetser; Juniors – Jon Mackenzie, Tom Puiia, Alex Gagnon, Adam Dupuis, Ian Touchette, Zack Adley, Lonnie Labonte. Girls: Seniors – Elaina Waite, Samara Richard; Sophomore – Shelby Moore.
Key losses: Boys: Craig Hamann. Girls: Amanda Gallant, Stephanie Gallant.
Promising newcomers: Boys: Nate Papsadora, David Adley. Girls: Courtney Carlson, Kera Miller.
Outlook: The boys should build on last year’s season with most of the team returning. Puiia and Woods each finished among in the top 20 in Class B giant slalom, and Touchette was the team’s top slalom racer. Waite and Moore also finished near the top in GS, so what the Falcons lack in girls’ numbers, they may compensate with talent.
Coach’s comment:
“Our boys will be a strong and deep team. The girls will be a fun team to coach and watch this year and years to come.”
