Seniors dinner
AUBURN – Robin Dow Senior Citizens will meet for the annual Christmas celebration dinner on Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Ramada Inn, Pleasant Street. Doors will open at 11 a.m.
On Nov. 14, the group had a Thanksgiving dinner party at the Auburn United Methodist Church, Park Avenue, with 72 attending. Jan Biron entertained with vocal selections accompanied by a background CD on the karaoke machine.
Pot of gold winners were Lucy Cowles, Kaye Hewison, Sylvia Thibodeau, Eugenia Dixon, Mary Tassinari, Helen McGuire, Lucien Marcoux, Hope Telow, Jeannette Libby and Lorraine Marcous.
The following new members joining Robin Dow Senior Citizens Oct. 24 were erroneously listed and should have read Jeannette Libby and Angie Jipson.
Christmas party
LITCHFIELD – The Down East Country Music Association will hold the annual Christmas party from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, at the Litchfield Sportsman Club, Route 196.
There will be live music, a cookie walk, raffles and 50/50 drawing. Admission is $5 for adults; free, children under 12. Santa will drop in to visit the little ones.

Holiday supper
LEWISTON – The MS Support Group and Caregivers will meet at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Lepage Conference Center, 99 Campus Ave., for a Christmas party. There will be a potluck supper and Chinese auction with $5 to $10 gift. For more information, contact Andy Michaud at 784-7927 or 783-1863.
Blood drive
WINTHROP – A community blood drive will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall, Lake Street. The drive is open to all donors. To schedule an appointment, call 1-800-GIVE-LIFE. A form of identification is required.
Office to close
SABATTUS – The Sabattus Town Office will close at noon Friday, Dec. 21, to allow the staff to attend the town’s Christmas party.
Holiday musical
LISBON – The Open Door Bible Church Choir will present a Christmas musical, “The Gift Goes On,” at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 23. Admission is free and all are welcome. For more information, call the church office at 353-2268.
New cookbook
POLAND – The Busy Bees of Poland have collected the best recipes from group members, family and friends and compiled them into a keepsake cookbook. The cookbook also commemorates the 75th anniversary of the group.
Books are available from any member of the organization for a donation of $10. The book contains 243 recipes, including appetizers, main dishes and desserts. Recipes also include the contributors’ names.
