Cancel meeting
LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens canceled their meeting on Monday, Dec. 3, due to the snow storm. Members were advised that today, a Chinese auction will be held and members can bring whatever they wish. It will also be the last time to sign up for a Christmas meal and party.
Grange meeting
LIVERMORE FALLS – New Norlands Grange members will meet at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at the Grange Hall for the last meeting at the hall until next April.
The program will include Christmas carols, game, monetary gift for the food cupboard, skits and Merry Christmas Game. Also there will be special music, a silver march and refreshments.
Church service
STARKS – The United in Christ Presbyterian Church of Starks and West Mills will hold the annual Christmas Eve services at 4 p.m. Monday, Dec. 24. All are welcome to the church on Locke Hill Road for a service of lessons and carols.
Library lighting
WEST PARIS – First illumination of the West Paris Public Library will take place at 5:30 p.m. today. It is a gift of the “Let Your Light Shine” endeavor. Hot cocoa and doughnuts will be available at the “Little Castle Library,” Main Street. For more information, call 674-2004.
Grange change
WEST PARIS – West Paris Grange 298 is changing its meeting/party from Dec. 20 at 6:30 p.m. to Saturday, Dec. 22, at 12:30 p.m at the Grange Hall. A soup and chowder luncheon will be followed by a meeting and Christmas party.
Holiday sale
NORWAY – A holiday craft and bake sale will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Norway Rehab and Living Center, 29 Marion Ave. Lunch will be available and there will be crafts and baked goods.
