The Christmas tree sitting in the lobby at Maine Veterans Home in Paris is surrounded by presents ranging from dolls to DVDs, to CDs to sleds. Staff members, residents and visitors have been selecting “ornaments,” which list a child’s name, age and wish. The names for giving were supplied by Community Concepts, which sponsors Christmas for Kids. The home has provided 60 children with gifts. From left are Megan Bachelder, administrative assistant, and Ellie Newell, admissions coordinator.
