AUBURN – The Lewiston/Auburn 911 Communication Center announces a promotion and recent hiring at the agency.

Melissa A. Dumeny of Dixfield was recently promoted to supervisor. Dumeny has a bachelor’s degree in social services with a mathematics minor, and an associates degree in business management from the University of Maine in Augusta. She has been in the communications center since 2005 and is assigned to the morning shift.

Laura M. Cyr of Auburn has been hired as a telecommunicator. She attended the University of Southern Maine and has a bachelor’s degree in the arts and humanities. She previously worked at the Sexual Assault Crisis Center as an education coordinator and victim advocate.

Amanda B. Henson of Topsham has also been hired as a telecommunicator. She attended the University of Maine in Augusta. She previously worked at Cingular Wireless as a retail sales consultant and at LiveBridge Inc. as a team leader.
