LISBON – A Topsham woman, Sharon Bobalek, 63, complained of pain and was taken to Midcoast Hospital in Brunswick following a two-car crash at the intersection of Routes 196 and 125 in Lisbon Falls Saturday afternoon.

According to Sgt. Scott Stewart, Bobalek, who was driving in an easterly direction on Route 196 towards Topsham, went through a red light at the intersection and struck a vehicle operated by Luke Larochelle, 34, of Durham which was crossing the intersection on Route 125 towards Durham. Larochelle was not injured, police said.

Damage was estimated at $3,000 each to Bobalek’s 1998 Kia Sephia and Larochelle’s 1993 Volkswagon Passat in the 3:43 p.m. crash that was investigated by Officer Jeffrey Picard.
