GEORGETOWN – The wedding of Tracy Lynn Downing and Benjamin Leigh Corey was held at 5 p.m. Nov. 17 at the Robinhood Meetinghouse Chapel in Georgetown. The Rev. Roger Cousineau officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Corey is the daughter of Bruce Downing of Minot and Brenda Soule of Yarmouth. Mr. Corey is the son of Richard Corey of East Wilton and Robyn Hedegard of Waterboro.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white Satin gown with splashes of silver glitter and halter top with soft white lace covering the back of the gown. The gown was also adorned with pearl Gerber daisies, the official wedding flower. She carried a bouquet of pink Gerber daisies. The gown was handmade and sewn by the mother of the bride.

Attending as matron of honor was the best friend of the bride, Tara Paradie. Bridesmaids were Tanya Smith, Tricia Fifield, Tarsha Downing and Trina Hackett, sisters of the bride, and Sarah Corey and Hannah Corey, sisters of the bridegroom. Hannah Breanne Smith, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

A cousin of the bridegroom, Shawn Hedegard, was best man. Usher was Levi Corey, brother of the bridegroom. Isaac Matthew Fifield, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

All entered the chapel to the song “We Hope You Have the Time of Your Life.”

A reception followed at the Robinhood Free Meetinghouse Restaurant in Georgetown, after which the couple traveled to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

The bride received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maine at Orono and a master’s degree from Wheelock College in Boston and the University of Southern Maine for clinical counseling, LCPC. She is associate program director of the juvenile risk reduction program at Spurwink.

The bridegroom received an associate degree at College of the Air Force and management associate at College of the Air Force, instructor of technology and military science, and received a bachelor’s degree in Christian ministry at Trinity University. He is owner of Corey Pro Photography.
