FARMINGTON – Area children who are preschool-age and younger are invited to Mallett School between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, for “Warm Up With A Good Book,” the second free book distribution in this year’s Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) program.
Children are invited to choose from titles and authors with dozens of quality early childhood books available.
RIF is a federally funded program that prepares and motivates children to read by delivering free books and literacy resources to schools. For the fifth year, Mallett School has received a grant to participate in the program and offer three free books to all its students and area pre-kindergarten children over the course of the year.
This is the second of three distributions of the 2007/08 school year and is supported in part by the Mallett School PTA.
