LEWISTON – “Congestive Heart Failure” will be the topic of a Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute presentation set for Monday and Wednesday, Feb. 11 and 13.
Physician assistant Jamie Dufour of the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute will discuss the causes of congestive heart failure and how it affects those living with the condition.
The presentations will be held in the first-floor Young Wing conference room at 1 p.m. Monday and again at 6 p.m. Wednesday. Light refreshments will be served. Anyone with questions should call 795-8240 or e-mail [email protected].
A graduate of Springfield College in Springfield, Mass., Dufour earned his master’s degree in health science through the George Washington University Physician Assistant Program in Washington, D.C.
Prior to joining CMHVI, Dufour worked for four years as a physician assistant with Maine Cardiology Associates in Portland. His professional background also includes two years of service as a cardiovascular technician at Maine Medical Center in Portland.
Dufour is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants. He is also certified in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support.
