NEW GLOUCESTER – Braving Sunday’s snow, 166 Democrats squeezed into the Congregational Church vestry here to overwhelmingly support Barack Obama.

Obama tallied 144 votes over Hillary Clinton’s 44 in the town Democratic caucus. Undecided voters and several supporting Dennis Kucinich failed to muster any delegate representation.

New Gloucester’s 11 delegates and alternatives will be represented by eight delegates supporting Obama and three delegates for Clinton.

at the upcoming Democratic State Convention in May at the Civic Center in Augusta.
