Go Kart Mozart, a high-energy indie rock band that recently exploded onto the east San Francisco Bay area music scene, will play at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, at She Doesn’t Like Guthrie’s in Lewiston. Although the band has been together only since January 2007, it has performed live on 50-plus occasions, recorded and released a full-length album and toured nationally through 14 states. The three members of Go Kart Mozart – Vincent Lay, guitar/vocals; Shane DeLea, bass/vocals; and Anna Kremenliev, drums – performed and recorded in California for more than eight years, and toured nationally as members of independent bands Kid Moe and Azrael. Go Kart Mozart’s own brand of sing-along pop rock is influenced by bands such as Weezer, Green Day, Panic at the Disco, Fall Out Boy and Say Anything. Guthries is at 115 Middle St. There is no cover charge. For more information, call 376-3344 or visit myspace.com/guthriesplace.
