Two Lewiston players are among eight statewide semi-finalists for the 2008 Travis Roy Award, given each season to the outstanding senior in Class A hockey.

Jordan Bourgoin and Jon Roy are the Blue Devils under consideration for the prestigious award, named after the Maine native and former North Yarmouth Academy star who was paralyzed 11 seconds into his college hockey career at Boston University.

Topher Pochebit of Cheverus, Derek Kump of Falmouth, Nick Reny of Biddeford, Tony Dube of Biddeford, John Massey of Waterville and Matt Delguidice of Messalonskee are the other six under consideration.

The three finalists will be announced Monday, March 10. The Travis Roy Award winner will receive his award at the state banquet at the Ramada Inn of Lewiston at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 16.
