Between Friday, Feb. 15, at 7 a.m. and Wednesday, Feb. 20, at 7 a.m. this department responded to 478 calls for service. Of those calls, 107 of them were motor vehicle stops.

Thefts
A red Fill Rite fuel pump was stolen from a diesel fuel tank at Beacon Sales at 17 Dumais Ave. some time over the weekend Feb. 15-19.
A digital camera was stolen from the Lewiston High School gymnasium on Feb. 15 prior to 11:30 p.m. The item had been left in a jacket at a dance.
Criminal Mischief
“Tony” was tagged in gray paint at 29 Lowell St. overnight Feb. 15-16.
The CMMC parking garage was tagged with “Alive” in gray paint near Holland Street overnight Feb. 15-16.
Sometime overnight Feb. 15-16, a vehicle parked at 87 Montello St. was egged.
Burglaries
An apartment at 27 Vale St. was burglarized prior to 6 p.m. on Feb. 18. No property was taken from inside, but drawers were rummaged through and clothes were thrown about.
An apartment at 180 Sabattus St. was burglarized between Feb. 13-15. No visible signs of forced entry were observed. The only property taken was a pair of diamond earrings.
An apartment at 74 Franklin St. was burglarized prior to 12:30 a.m. on Feb. 15. Entry was gained via an unlocked door. A wallet was stolen from inside and was later located on Bates Street near the skate park; $125 had been taken from the wallet.
An apartment at 31 Hamel St. was burglarized between Feb. 13 at 5 p.m. and Feb. 15 at 6 p.m. Several pieces of property were stolen from inside.
The Lewiston Mandarin at 750 Sabattus St. was burglarized sometime overnight Feb. 18-19. The suspect broke in and stole money. Entry was gained via a back door by forcing a makeshift lock. The money was contained in the cash register.
St. Patrick’s Church at 1 Walnut St. was burglarized prior to 6 p.m. on Feb. 18.
The Trinity Church at 247 Bates St. had damage done to a rear door in an apparent attempt at entry, which occurred between 4:10-4:40 p.m. on Feb. 18.
The resident of 146 Oxford St. was awakened by someone attempting to pry open his door on Feb. 18 at 9:46 a.m. When confronted, the suspect fled on foot toward Cedar Street. He was wearing a gray, hooded sweatshirt.
Robbery
On Feb. 18, a female pedestrian reported that she had been robbed by three black males while walking home from Vicki’s Variety. She stated that all three suspects were wearing dark jackets with hoods over their heads. They approached her and tore her purse away from her.
Operating After Suspension Arrests
Matthew Ruttenberg, 31, was arrested for operating while under license suspension, attaching false plates,and failure to give correct name, on Feb. 15 at 10:58 p.m. at 855 Lisbon St. following a routine traffic stop.
Tanya Garza, 31, was arrested for failure to register her vehicle and operating without a license on Feb. 17 at 5:51 a.m. at 790 Sabattus St. following a routine traffic stop.
Trespass Arrest
Jeffrey Bean, 23, was arrested for aggravated criminal trespass and on a probation hold on Feb. 16 at 12:17 a.m. The resident of 11 Sand Hill Road reports that he was awakened by the sound of his door getting kicked in. When he got up, he witnessed two males fleeing the porch wearing hooded sweatshirts. A search of the area revealed Bean, who initially denied any involvement, but eventually admitted that he was the one who had kicked in the door. He claimed he had gone there with the intention of punching the resident in the face in retaliation for a previous encounter.
