Dear Sun Spots: The Edward Little High School photography program is in need of community support. On average, we have 80 digital photography students sharing only eight digital cameras and 30 students sharing seven film cameras. We are asking for donations of fully operational 35mm SLR film cameras as well as three megapixel or higher digital cameras for our program.
Your donation to ELHS photography will contribute immensely to our program and ensure maximum student involvement and learning. Please consider donating your older but functional camera to us at Edward Little High School, 77 Harris St., Auburn, ME 04210. Thank you in advance for your generosity! Sincerely. – Shawn Rice, Aer Teacher, ELHS, Auburn.
Dear Sun Spots: I am in the fifth grade at Northeast Elementary in Kearney, Nebraska.
I have adopted your state as a class project to research. I will be doing a report and other projects. Then on May 3 my class is having a “States Fair” where I will be displaying my report and any other information or materials I receive about your state. I am hopeful that some of your readers will be able to help me with my project. I was able to research your city and newspaper on the Internet and I’m excited to learn more about your state.
I would really appreciate it if some of your readers could please drop me a postcard from Maine. I would like to get many different postcards to display during our fair. I could also use maps, brochures, souvenirs, or other information that would be helpful to do a display about your wonderful state. This is a big project and I hope your readers can help. Readers if you send me your e-mail address I will e-mail you when I receive any information or items you send.
I would be very thankful if you could print my letter in your newspaper. I will write or e-mail the newspaper again in May, if you like, and let you know how my project went. My class is really excited about this project. Thanks for your help. If you have any questions you can e-mail my teacher at [email protected].
In the meantime please send your items to me at: Vanessa Bamesberger, Northeast Elementary, Mr. Haas’s Class, 910 East 34th Street, Kearney, NE 68847. – Vanessa Bamesberger, Nebraska.
Dear Sun Spots: I understand that by the end of the year we will need a box to be able to watch our TV. or buy a new plasma tv. I understand there are some coupons to help with the cost. Do you have a phone number. Thank you so much. I’m sure this would help a lot of people. – No Name, No Town.
