AUBURN – The wedding of Trina Lise Downing and Robert John Hackett was held Aug. 17 at the East Auburn Baptist Church. Pastor Roger Cousineau officiated at the ceremony.
Mrs. Hackett is the daughter of Bruce Downing of Minot and Brenda Soule of Yarmouth. Mr. Hackett is the son of Barry Hackett of Mesa, Ariz., and Valerie and Joe Emery of Mechanic Falls.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless satin gown in A-line style with beaded cluster at waist. She carried a bouquet of white and lavender roses with caspia and stephanotis.
A friend of the bride, Leah Tondreau, attended as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tanya Smith, Tracy Corey, Tricia Fifield and Tarsha Downing, sisters of the bride. Hannah Breanne Smith, niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Stephen Hackett performed the duties of best man for his brother. Ushers were Scott Jenkins, Michael Francis, Sam Francis and Nick Hogan, friends of the bridegroom. Isaac Matthew Fifield, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
A reception followed at Lost Valley Lodge in Auburn, after which the couple traveled to Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas.
The bride received a bachelor’s degree in child development and family relations at the University of Maine at Orono. She is a children’s case manager at Tri County Mental Health Services in Lewiston, and is also direct care worker at Spurwink.
The bridegroom attended two years at Central Maine Technical College and is a salesman at Federal Distributors in Lewiston.
