BOSTON (AP) – A man has been ordered held on $1 million bail after police say he opened fire at a nightclub hosting a promotional event for “Girls Gone Wild.”

Two people were wounded in the shooting early Sunday morning at Aria.

Police say 24-year-old Damion Jamaal-Anthony Haley, of Milton, allegedly pulled a handgun and started shooting. His attorney said in court it wouldn’t have been possible to identify his client as the shooter because of the chaos at the club.

Aria was hosting a promotional party for the “Girls Gone Wild” video series, which features young women in sexually provocative situations. A club spokesman said Aria has voluntarily closed until police complete their investigation.

Police spokeswoman Elaine Driscoll said several officers were at the club when the shooting erupted because they had received information that there might be gang activity.
