NEWRY – What do a magician, zany jugglers, a crazy circus act and a psychic entertainer have in common? They are all part of a cabin fever cure courtesy of the Black Diamond Family Entertainment Series at Sunday River.

The remedy will begin with the Magic of Lyn on Feb. 26, followed by Fusion on Feb. 28, Circo Comedia on March 1 and Kevin Robart on March 4. All shows begin at 7 p.m. in the Grand Summit Resort Hotel.

The Magic of Lyn is filled with illusions and hypnotic lighting. The juggling trio Fusion offers improvisation, theater, comedy, darkness, light and music melded together.

Circo Comedia is one circus act that is small on performers but large on laughs. Unpredictable thrills, comedy and stunts are the signature style of Circo Comedia, starring Jean Saucier and Patrick Côté of Montreal.

Following the tradition of Quebec Circus, Saucier, master equilibrist, juggler, trick cyclist, acrobat and magician, performs his feats from dizzying heights; while Côté, burlesque clown, expert roller skater and drummer, tries to be the “imperfect” assistant.

One of Canada’s premier magicians and psychic entertainers, Robart will entertain audience members with his many feats of prestidigitation. His high-energy show incorporates his unique sense of humor with comedy skits, audience participation and psychic pieces.

Tickets for these family events are $4 for children (6-12), $6 for adults in advance, $6/$8 at the door. Tickets may be purchased on the mountain and at Books N Things in Bethel. For more information, call the Grand Summit Hotel front desk at 824-3500.
