LEWISTON – Due to challenging winter conditions and high roadside snowbanks, the city is asking people to put their weekly trash and recyclables on the right-hand side of their driveways (when facing the street).
In addition, solid waste materials need to be put on the ground, not on snowbanks. These requests are made to enable collection staff to better view trash containers as they proceed on their routes, as well as to prevent slips and falls when reaching for elevated containers.
Residential waste and recyclables must continue to be placed curbside no later than 7 a.m. on the designated day of trash collection.
