AUBURN – Debora Whittle has been promoted to assistant vice president/human resources manager at Mechanics Savings Bank. In this position, Whittle oversees the Human Resources Department and is responsible for hiring, benefits, payroll, reporting and employee relations.

Since joining Mechanics Savings Bank in 1979, Whittle has been a bookkeeper, head bookkeeper, HR assistant and HR benefits. In addition, she has participated in many human resource professional development seminars and conferences throughout her career in the banking industry.

Whittle is active in the United Way’s Day of Caring. She resides in Auburn with her husband. Their son attends Husson College in Bangor.
