Palm Sunday

RUMFORD – The Rumford United Methodist Church on Linnell Street will hold a Palm Sunday service at 10:30 a.m. March 16. Palms will be distributed to all in attendance.

The children will then go downstairs for Sunday school. Pastor Kelley Harvell will deliver a sermon that will lead into Passion Week.

A Maundy Thursday service will be held in the sanctuary at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 20. It will be held jointly with the Mexico United Church of Christ. The Rev. Ginger Snapp-Cunningham will assist Harvell with the service.

The following evening , March 21, the Green Church will host a Good Friday service at 7 p.m. All are invited to attend both Lenten services.

The Methodists will have a celebration at 10:30 a.m. Easter morning following the sunrise service.

Sunrise service

MEXICO – Easter morning, March 23, at 6:30 a.m. River Valley Christians will celebrate at a sunrise service at the parking lot of the Mountain Valley Junior High School on Harlow Hill.

The United Methodist Church will lead the worship service. In case of a storm, people will gather at the Green Church for an indoor service where breakfast will follow.

Then all will attend their own church for an Easter worship.
