CUMBERLAND (AP) – A 24-year-old woman died in a hospital hours after the car she was driving Tuesday veered across the median of Interstate 295 and collided with a TV news van.

Heather Bouchard of Yarmouth died after surgery at Maine Medical Center, according to WCSH-TV.

The collision occurred in the northbound lanes of the interstate. WCSH reporter Susan Kimball and photojournalist Aaron Twombly were taken to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

All lanes were reopened by 1:35 p.m.
