Achievement means a lot more than the word itself. Without it you won’t make it that far in life. In school if you know you are the kind of kid who doesn’t care about grades or doesn’t plan to go to college, then that’s your choice, but you still have a chance to change it. If you are the kind of kid who wants to have a 4.0 all your life, then you should have a successful career, and a successful life. But pushing yourself further than your limit could cause you to overload and go downhill fast. Have a goal set, and keep pushing toward that goal. When you reach it, take a break and if you feel you could go further, then do it. I know that life is made up of much more than just achievement. But achievement is your base, the roots of yourself. As you go further in life the rest of you will grow off those roots. If you don’t plant those roots firmly in the ground, then they could come loose and the rest of you will never have a chance to grow. Everyone has potential, even if you don’t think so, you just need the time to grow.
