In this contest participants had to match capital cities to the right country. On Wednesday, there was a match the name of a person with the country they came from contest. On Thursday a poetry contest was held, which was then read on the morning announcements. Winners of the contests from Monday to Thursday all received a flag fest t-shirt for winning in that category.
On Friday a poster contest was held representing the theme “we are all Blue Devils.” The winning poster was then placed in the main lobby. To enrich the flag fest week, the Pledge of Allegiance was said in a different language each day and the senior class sold flag fest t-shirts. All of these events were meant to promote diversity in the high school and to learn about the places where people come from.
