What do you think about EL taking part in the National Day of Silence to promote awareness of queer issues at our school?

Breanna Cook

Junior

The Day of Silence is a day for homosexuals. If you participate, you don’t talk for the day to try to relate to how homosexuals feel in their daily life. I think it’s a good idea. Many of us don’t know what it’s like and I think it is a good way to show our support towards homosexuals.

Whitney Stone

Junior

I firmly believe in the Day of Silence. I believe it is a great way to signify your alliance with everyone’s personal beliefs. Everyone should be able to love who they love and still be accepted.

Tom Lynch

Sophomore

I think it’s a good idea, but I won’t take part in the silence.

Emily Folsom

Sophomore

I think it’s cool. It provides a way for people to express their true feelings on the matter.

Michelle Day

Junior

I support the Day of Silence. I think gays should have the same rights as everyone else. We’re all human.
