LISBON – A Lisbon woman suffered minor injuries in a crash Monday afternoon on Route 196 in Lisbon Falls village.

Officer Thomas Stanton Jr. identified the drivers as Ashley Pomelow, 24, of Lisbon and Mary Hamilton, 22, of Durham. According to Stanton, Pomelow had stopped in traffic in the westbound lane, and Hamilton was unable to avoid striking the back of Pomelow’s car.

Pomelow suffered apparent minor injuries and was transported to Central Maine Medical Center. Damage to her 1993 Volvo was estimated at $1,500, and damage to Hamilton’s 2002 Ford F250 at $1,000 in the 4:35 p.m. crash.
