DIXFIELD – When voters here go to the polls on June 10, they will choose a selectman and a SAD 21 board representative.

Two people returned nomination papers for the selectman’s seat held by Chairwoman Bettina Martin. Martin, of Sugarloaf Avenue, retired several years ago as finance director for Farmington.

She is seeking a second, three-year term on the board, challenged by William Gallant of Weld Street. He is co-owner of the Bearly-Inn on Weld Street.

Bruce Ross is seeking a second three-year term as a Dixfield representatives to the SAD 21 board. He maintains a dental practice in Rumford. No one else took out nomination papers for the position.

Other local issues will be dealt with at the annual town meeting set for 6 p.m. May 22 at Dirigo Middle School.
