LISBON – Philip W. Sugg Middle School Principal Rick Green announced the third-quarter student achievement awards on April 17.
The third of four awards for the year, this quarter both recipients are eighth-grade students. Green congratulated Meagan Thomas and Ben Randall for their outstanding achievements. Students are nominated by teachers for overall academic standings and various areas of student fellowship and accomplishments.
Thomas is the daughter of Diane and Larry Thomas of Lisbon Falls. “Meagan quietly but persistently works toward her academic goals, bringing in rough drafts to conference with her teachers, asking for their input and how she can improve her work, and seeking to do her very best,” said Green.
Randall is the son of Holly and Jeffery Randall of Lisbon Falls. “Ben is often quiet, but has wit and a really friendly personality beneath his calm exterior, which sometimes bursts through. Ben is a junior volunteer, involved in our strings program, gets great grades and is a nice guy,” said Green.
The awards are sponsored by the Lisbon Rotary Club. For more information on events and other student awards, visit www.union30.org or contact Community Resource Coordinator Monica Millhime at 353-3055 or e-mail [email protected].
