DIXFIELD – Adam Gatchell, 18, of Mineral Springs Road, Peru, on a charge of criminal speeding, at 9:40 p.m., April 21, on Canton Point Road. He was released from the Dixfield Police Department on $200 cash bail. He will appear in 11th District Court, Northern Oxford Division, at a later date.

Accidents

A vehicle driven by Matt Wilson, no age available, of Averill Hill Road, Dixfield, collided with a deer at 12:10 a.m., April 20. The vehicle, make unknown, was not damaged. The deer was injured and put down.

A vehicle driven by Keith A. Sastamoine, 33, of Canton Point Road, Dixfield, was hit by a deer at 7:36 a.m., April 25, on Canton Point Road. Sastamoine’s 2000 GMC pickup truck sustained $500 damage. The deer left by time officer Eric Bernier arrived.

Incident

A 9 mm handgun and ammunition were reported stolen at 1:50 p.m., April 10, from a Church Street home. Officer Eric Bernier said the theft is under investigation.
