LISBON FALLS – Charles W. Plummer, a native of Lisbon and editor of “The History of Lisbon,” written by his father, will share vignettes about the classes that graduated from Lisbon High School during the years 1938 to 1957 at the Wednesday, May 14, meeting of the Lisbon Historical Society.

A graduate of the class of 1952, Plummer prepared for his presentation, “Memories of the Way We Were,” by conducting extensive research drawing on the collection of Lisbon High School yearbooks that are part of the society’s historical archives.

He will share essays written by members of the graduating classes, class wills and jokes, the names of staff members, members of the school board and class officers over the years, as well as information about the activities of school clubs and athletic teams.

His presentation will be accompanied by the use of numerous yearbook photographs that he has converted to overhead transparencies.

The 7 p.m. meeting will be held at the society’s headquarters in the former Marion T. Morse School on School Street. Refreshments will be served after the meeting.
