Cleanup day

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls Downtown Betterment Group cleanup day will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 10. Members will clean up Gateway Park, the gazebo, Union Park and the new location at Maine’s Paper and Heritage Museum, 22 Church St. Call John Ross at 514-7581 to RSVP or make donations.

The Betterment Group will present History Night from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 23. Livermore Falls will reenact the past with an assortment of displays, entertainment and food. There’ll be a blacksmith, story-telling, chalk art contest for the kids and horse-drawn wagon rides to Maine’s Paper and Heritage Museum. Rummage sale

CHESTERVILLE – The North Chesterville Extension Homemakers will hold a rummage/bake sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 17, at the Chesterville Town Office, Dutch Gap Road.

This is the only fundraiser of the year and makes it possible for the group to provide community projects such as the free senior citizen Valentine’s luncheon, sponsoring the local Girl Scout Troops, providing training, designing and donating decorations for the Chester Greenwood Festival of Trees, making items for the Franklin County Animal Shelter and providing items for local nursing homes.

Plant sale set

FARMINGTON – Mt. Blue Area Garden Club members will hold their annual plant sale at 9 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Meetinghouse Park. Members and individuals interested in donating plants are invited to bring potted plants early the morning of the sale.

Art driving tour

FARMINGTON – The fourth annual Tour d’Art, a Farmington area driving tour featuring 17 area artists in six locations, will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, May 17 and 18.

Artists will show and sell paintings, pottery, photographs, fabric art, glass and mixed media. There will be light refreshments and door prize.

Turkey supper

RANGELEY – The Mission Board of the Rangeley Congregational Church-UCC will hold a turkey supper from 5 p.m. until sold out on Saturday, May 24, at the Barn, High Street. Menu will include homecooked turkey and all the fixings to eat in or take out. The price is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.
